Some good news for the Seniors. Just before the Christmas break Keith Scally
was awarded the Nivea Man of the Match award in the Star Newspaper, for his
performance in the Second team against Shangan Athletic. This was a great
confidence boost for Ketih. Keith was dropped down to get some matches
under his belt and did himself justice playing with the seconds. In the
game Keith bagged a hatrick in the space of ten minutes, a new record for
the Senior side of the club. Keith is a product of the Schoolboy Section of
the club
and hopefully this will inspire other Schoolboy players to represent the
Club at Senior Level. Other players in the Club who have won Star MOM award
are David Looney and Mark Lonergan.
