Jaime Murtagh, currently playing for Ashbourne United U11 team, took part in the All Ireland finals of the Indoor Athletics in Nenagh last weekend. He had qualified for the high jump finals by winning Leinster and setting a new record for his age of M1.43.
He came home with the gold medal, pushing last years champion from Galway into second place and now holds both the indoor and outdoor titles.
Ashbourne Utd. who are very proud of Jamie, would like to congratulate him on his magnificent achievement and wish him every success in future competitions. Is it too early to be thinking of an Olympic medal Jamie???
